Are Buying Local
When The Rhode Island Foundation took on the Buy Local RI initiative from the Lt. Gov's office, they wanted to infuse the brand with some new energy. Rhode Islanders are scrappy, cool and fiercely local and they wanted to bring some of that into the brand. But, they also wanted to keep elements from the existing brand, like the anchor and the rooster. So we worked with Jessica and Lauren at the RI Foundation to develop a brand that we would wear on clothes, stick on our laptops, and carry proudly on tote bags to inspire a new movement of buying local in Rhode Island.
We also needed to completely redesign and rebuild the website, on-line directory, and social media presence to create a place to showcase local merchant events happening around the state.
